Cordyceps sinensis improves exercise performance
A study by Christopher Cooper, Steve Chen, Zhaoping Li et al, from the University of California, Los Angeles, was designed to examine to find if of refined medicinal mushroom Cordyceps sinensis improves exercise performance in healthy elderly subjects.
They were given either the refined Cordyceps sinensis medicinal mushroom or a placebo. They made no lifestyle changes during the trial, and didn’t take other drugs or medicinal herbs.
This pilot study suggests that supplementation with Cordyceps sinensis medicinal mushroom improves exercise performance but improves resistance to fatigue as well, and contributes to wellness in healthy older subjects.
